Reminder U5/U6 Roundup: Team Formation / Orientation / Issuing Uniforms
WHEN: occurs on September 7 at 9am
WHERE: at Pan Pacific Park at the lower baseball field (where the U8's play in the ravine next to the pool/library).
SHOULD THE KIDS ATTEND? Not necessary they will still get on a team, though they would miss meeting their teammates, coach collecting the uniform, and choosing a team name.
COACH TRAINING: will start at 10:15. We will be available for in-person sign ups at 8am.

Clarification re: U4 and U6 eligibility
RE U6: The eligible age for the U5/U6 program has been lowered to 4 years 2 months at the time play begins. So if your child was born before 7/31/08 they are eligible to play U5/U6. If you as parents are concerned about your child not having the requisite maturity either physically or emotionally for this program you may enroll your child in the U4 program and they will be accepted on a case by case basis (the closer they are to 4 the less of a problem).
EQUIPMENT: We provide shirts, shorts and socks however you will need to purchase shin guards (big 5, 99cent store etc) as they are mandatory - cleats are not required though most kids do wear them.
Coaches: We need more coaches for the boys, girls we are doing pretty well.
RE: U4 : It has been requested by the soccer gods that the U4 kids and families not come to the roundup on Sept 7 but instead read the attached flyer (pdf) and sign up per those instructions at this website (click here). If your child is signed up for U6 but you would rather they play U4 please Email me to let me know. This will allow me to be more accurate with my team formation numbers and we can start the refund process.

Key Dates:

Late (and wait listed) registration from July 1st until season starts right after Labor Day
Coach, Referee and Board training is during June and July.

The following chart applies for the next official membership year, which starts Aug. 1, 2013 and concludes July 31, 2014. Any player whose birth date falls on or between these dates should be placed in the designated division.
